ABOUT THE PROJECT

Von Maur is a high-end, family-owned department store chain whose 32 stores in fifteen states anchor shopping malls. The longstanding Sears store at the Woodland Creek Mall in Kentwood, MI was demolished to make room for the Von Maur store build. The project began in August of 2018 with final construction set to be completed in the fall of 2019. Centerline Prefab constructed and Bouma Corporation installed 73 exterior Sto Backup panels that were installed in only 6 days, providing the building enclosure 39 days earlier than the original schedule. This provided a savings to the owner through the reduction in general conditions and temporary heat. Field laid masonry and spray foam insulation were applied to the panels by other trade contrators.
