OPEN POSITIONS


WELDER & FABRICATOR

Non-Exempt, Hourly Position

The Welder & Fabricator is responsible for using MIG welding tools to produce prefabricated galvanized metal stud walls for interior and exterior applications. These walls are then finished by applying exterior coatings and shipped out to our customers throughout the United States to erect the walls onsite. Production is currently running first shift Monday – Friday 7:00 – 3:15; overtime may be available at times.

This is a full-time position. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Able to read and understand assembly drawings
  • Regular use of MIG welding and other hand tools to grind and finish galvanized steel products according to written specifications and blueprints
  • Produce and maintain quality product to the required specifications
  • Pack and load product as specified by set standard
  • Layout material according to blueprints to prepare work for welding
  • Responsible to maintain the pace of production needed and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Adhere to safety policies to produce work in a safe manner
  • Must be able to follow work instructions and work independently with limited supervision
  • Will be cross trained in other areas of the company to understand the business and work in other positions as needed
  • Perform other necessary duties as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a mechanical and technical ability
  • Certified welder

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of MIG welding experience
  • High School degree
  • Able to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jack, forklift, overhead cranes, saws, drills, grinders, and hand routers
  • Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently
  • Past construction and/or construction framing experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to pass AWS Certification within 90 days
  • Must adhere to the company’s attendance policy
  • Must be a team player that is willing to help in other areas as needed

CNC MACHINIST

Router Table & Steel Roll Forming

Non-Exempt, Hourly Position

CNC machinists make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product. CNC machinists make sure their machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output. They look at the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production. Production is currently running first shift Monday – Friday 7:00 – 3:15. Overtime may be available at times. Start times of the shift may fluctuate by an hour, but advance notice will be provided.

This is a full-time position. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to read and understand shop drawings
  • Must be able to perform preventative and daily maintenance on equipment
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot machine issues, perform repairs and resolve equipment issues as they occur
  • Works from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings for operations and occasional profiling and contouring
  • Verify programming and material/component matches the data/program
  • Maintain traceability of job data, files, materials, components, quality control data
  • Verify tooling and setup of job on the machines
  • Maintain the quality of the manufactured product to required specifications utilizing a variety of hand tools
  • Follow and completes QA/QC checklists
  • Must be able to follow work instructions and work independently with limited supervision
  • Function as a member of a work team by contributing and initiating quality, safety and productivity ideas
  • Communicate appropriately to avoid unplanned downtime including problems, trends, maintenance, etc.
  • Performs other necessary duties as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School degree
  • Lifts 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in roll-forming, CNC routing required. 5 years preferred
  • Possess a mechanical and technical ability
  • Must adhere to the company’s attendance policy

CAD DESIGNER

The CAD Designer develops and maintains Building Information Modeling (BIM) work for our customers. Creates production details for interior and exterior facades, theming and millwork pertaining to structural steel, framing, drywall and themed finishes such as fiberglass and architectural metalwork. Will coordinate the areas of work with drawings from the organization’s subcontractors and vendors. Will be expected to produce accurate and complete work within the standards developed by Centerline Prefab.

This is a full-time position. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates accurate and complete drawings including specifications for all materials, finishes, dimensions and construction methods.
  • Uses various construction materials including framing, drywall, fiberglass, foam and metal as best suited for the work being drawn and built as coordinated.
  • Provides information on drawings to direct and assist the field installers with their work.
  • Work in a network environment of Revit to produce 2D/3D drawings.
  • Performs all drafting work using customers shop drawing and BIM Standards Manual.
  • Understands and applies all relevant building codes to work being performed.
  • Meets schedule dates as established by the Vice President.
  • Coordinates in written and/or verbal forms with the organization’s subcontractors and vendors.
  • Meets proficiency standards in all department utilized software.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as requested.
  • Learn and implement our specific software.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical drawing degree or equivalent experience specializing in architecture or engineering with an emphasis on details.
  • Ideal candidate will have worked in a company that designs and builds themed environments.
  • At least one year of experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit Autodesk.
  • Ability to work with high degree of accuracy.
  • Experienced in reading blueprints.
  • Experience with various construction framing and finishes including metal studs, drywall, EIFS, fiberglass and architectural metal preferred.

FRAMING CARPENTER

We’re looking for a framing carpenter with good attendance and a positive attitude that’s willing to grow with our company. 

This is a full-time position. Production is currently running first shift, Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 3:15 pm. Overtime may be available at times. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Able to read and understand blueprints
  • Take machined cold-formed metal studs to layout on production floor to the blueprints
  • Apply product to build and finish pre-formed walls
  • Take machined dry wall panels to assemble, glue and finish product
  • Performs production and/or assembly of parts and adheres to all safety policies.
  • Maintain the quality of the manufactured product to required specifications utilizing a variety of hand tools
  • Must be able to follow work instructions and work independently with limited supervision
  • Function as a member of a work team by contributing and initiating quality, safety and productivity ideas
  • Communicates appropriately to avoid unplanned downtime including problems, trends, maintenance, etc.
  • Must be motivated and able to keep pace in a fast-paced environment
  • Performs other necessary duties as directed by management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School degree
  • Previous construction experience in metal or stick framing, drywall and plastering is preferred
  • Able to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jack, forklift, overhead cranes, saws, drills, grinders and hand routers
  • Two years of welding experience preferred but not necessary
  • Lifts 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently
  • Possess a mechanical and technical ability
  • Must adhere to the company’s attendance policy
